This is the second PRS-5 model to be produced by Time Factors, the first was under the name "Broadarrow"in the style of the Hamilton military chronograph and fitted with the Poljot 3133 movement. Following restrictions on the use of the name "Broadarrow", the PRS-5 lives again as a "Precista" and is now fitted with the Seagull ST-19 chronograph movement.

The Seagull factory has been manufacturing movements since 1955 and have long been the favourite movements for replica watches. The ST-19 is a 19 jewel column-wheel chronograph, allegedly identical to the Venus 175 movement and made on the same machinery, which the Chinese acquired when the Venus 175 went out of production. Others claim that the Seagull was simply reverse-engineered from the Venus and the argument continues over which story is correct: either way, the fact remains that the design retains all durability of the original Venus.

The PRS-5 has a 31mm visible dial with Super Luminova "dot" hour markers and also a luminous 6 & 12. The crystal is a hi-dome acrylic crystal, 3.4mm high. The semi-recessed signed crown measures 4.0mm high by 7mm diameter. The hands are painted white with Super Luminova filling. The watch is water resistant to 50 metres, is fitted with a screw back and has 20mm drilled lugs.

The PRS-5 is guaranteed for two years and will be supplied with strap of choice from NATO or Aviator straps, (please state preference when ordering) and One watch travel case from Banda.

4 October 2008: A view back is now available for the Precista PRS-5, which will also fit the Broadarrow PRS-5.
